Books for Winter 2014
In order to receive your books for free next semester, you must have your HFCC ID and your course schedule with my signature. I will be sending that home to you, so be on the lookout later this week. You may not go there until DECEMBER 16th or later!
You will take your ID and signed schedule to the BACK Counter of the bookstore for assistance.
Therefore, it is important to check WebAdvisor to make sure your schedule is correct.
Help Wanted
There are several ways to help out this holiday season:
1. The Goodfellows are looking for students to help them distribute newspapers on Dec. 6th or 7th. Students would work in pairs at a store front location (the stores are aware and supportive) for a two-hour shift. Students would take donations that help pay for the wonderful work of the Goodfellows to provide a Christmas for every child. Please contact Ms. Armstrong for details.
2. There are several collections happening at HFCC. The Gleaners Canned Food Drive is on! Please drop off non-perishable food items until Dec. 3. Additionally, we can donate to the stuffing a stocking program which provides educational toys and supplies to local students in grades 1-3. Items needed include glue sticks, pencils, pens, flash cards, as well as mittens and gloves. Finally, you can help provide books to students from toddlers to teens. Please drop off new, unwrapped books to me. I will forward them along.
For more information, you can check the HFCC website or give them to me at LRC -229. I can also make arrangements to get them from Mr. Mashhour or Mrs. Orbzut.
